Zimbra Collaboration 8.6 Patch 2 is here
Good to see frequent updates and improvements. After getting used to them, I kind of like the patching rather than full point releases as they're a lot faster and less risky. And I like that this release doesn't have a picture of a band-aid

Zimbra Collaboration 8.6 Patch 1 is here
Hey there, great to see updates and bugfixes. Question though, with so many bugs stomped, why a patch release, why not a proper release - 8.6.1? I only run a couple of small servers but if I was running anything bigger I wouldn't look forward to such large patches and pictures of band-aids, for miss...

Zimbra web client stand alone
Hi Nikolayi
No you can't do this - I don't think the Zimbra web client doesn't talk imap or smtp - it looks like it talks soap and/or rest and is proprietary to the zimbra backend server.
Have you tried zimbra desktop? This might do what you're looking for, and has a similar interface.

How to Upgrade openssl to OpenSSL 1.0.1h in zimbra 8.0.3
Gosh, I've fed a gremlin after midnight.. Metux, I'm not going to respond to you point by point because I don't want to encourage you any further, but I'll just say this: you have some good points, but you also have some misunderstandings, inaccuracies and you're not acknowledging that there is no o...

Gosh, that's disappointing The link above is showing a permissions error, is there a public product matrix anywhere that shows the differences between the different offerings? This is pretty standard fare on most product websites these days.

Blog: Zimbra FOSS edition relicensed
Hi, thanks Zimbra for relicensing, even if a bit late in the day! I was really excited when Zimbra first came out way back when as it was so much more than the sum of it's then fragmented parts, and pulled everything together into a really cool package. But the licensing and (back then) lack of appa...

How to Upgrade openssl to OpenSSL 1.0.1h in zimbra 8.0.3
Hi Metux You raise some interesting points (that have been raised before by others, by the look of it), although not sure the way you're raising them is conducive to working with Zimbra to make any improvements. [quote user="metux"] The --no-check-certificate does not "EXPLICITLY SWIT...

How to Upgrade openssl to OpenSSL 1.0.1h in zimbra 8.0.3
Thanks Sebastian, this works fine. To be fair, CentOS isn't an officially supported platform so I guess the usual --platform-override got overlooked on this patch.
