I decided to delete the domain.
After the successful removal of the domain, sending and receiving mails for both domains between the two servers is working fine.

I was finally able to resolve this issue. I had to edit the file /opt/zimbra/jetty/etc/zimbraAdmin.web.xml.in and add the port to the parameter admin.allowed.ports .
