...read the release notes to see if there's anything that may cause you problems. Thanks for the replies. My Zimbra is a pretty vanilla install, so nothing really stood out to me after going through the 10 release notes. ...Iain's build is using the develop branch... Ok, I didn't think that using t...

Any reason to upgrade 8.8.15 to 9.0? Or just go straight to 10.0.7?
Hi guys, I am currently on 8.8.15_GA_4179 and have successfully made it from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04 by simply upgrading the same instance. Now I'm ready for the next step. Is there any reason to go to 9.0, or do I just go straight to 10.0.7? I have a VMware environment, so I take a snapshot before I ...

Re: Upgrading from Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04
Instead of removing /opt/zimbra/jetty_base and using a backup, the better solution is to apt remove zimbra-store package and reinstall it from the downloaded zcs-8.8.15_GA_4179.UBUNTU20_64.20211118033954.tgz! So the complete procedure should be this: 1. On Ubuntu 18.04 [...] Thanks! This was an abs...

Re: Chat error on load
Does anybody have any more of an update on this or were able to resolve it with Zimbra support? I consider this a major upgrade bug and it's a real shame that there hasn't been any hotfix for this. The functionality is totally broken if you don't already also have diskdrive feature also installed t...

Migrate Zimbra From One Server To Another Server
Hello everyone, I've followed this guide and it worked, but it was missing an important thing. https://community.zextras.com/migrate-zimbra-from-one-server-to-another-server-method-1 The thing I was hoping to do was find a way to keep user shared items. Maybe method 2 or 3 handles this? Just hoping ...

searching within distribution lists
I've looked all over for a way to search within distribution lists, but didn't really find anything helpful or from this decade. Example: I know an old email address is part of a distribution list. It would be real easy to find if I could search for that email in the admin console, but it doesn't wo...

mv /opt/zimbra/lib/ext/openchat/zal.jar /tmp
cp -rp /opt/zimbra/lib/ext/zimbradrive/zal.jar /opt/zimbra/lib/ext/openchat/zal.jar
su - zimbra
zmmailboxdctl restart

Wow, this just worked for me. Thank you!

compromised account sending SPAM
Recently I found a couple of accounts with really easy passwords that were compromised and sending out SPAM. I looked through the firewall rules for my Zimbra server and found that the following ports are open: 25, 80, 443, 465, 587, 993. I'm pretty sure 465, 587, and 993 are open so that people can...

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users
I'm using the same free version (FOSS) 8.8.10.GA.3039.UBUNTU16.64. I have the same issue. I noticed that Windows 10 1803 can still access Ajax login just fine, but the Windows 10 1809 builds are failing.
