Re: Generate DKIM: Domain not found?
Ok, this pretty much sums up our experience with Zimbra so far. It doesn't seem like it's at the stage where it can be taken seriously. Sorry to put it like that. We do hope it will improve in the coming years.

Re: Generate DKIM: Domain not found?
zimbra@sub:~$ /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdkimkeyutil -a -S sub.domain.com but it keeps giving us a list of usage rather than the dkim. Can you please give me an example how exactly should I put this domain to make a dkim for a subdomain? Have you tried... $ /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdkimkeyutil -a -d domain...

Re: Generate DKIM: Domain not found?
Looking at the perl script zmdkimkeyutil and it appears you missed the -S option. % ./zmdkimkeyutil -help Usage: ./zmdkimkeyutil [-a [-b]] [-q] [-r] [-s selector] [-S] [-u [-b]] [-d domain] -a: Add new key pair and selector for domain -b: Optional parameter specifying the number of bits for the new...

Proper configuration: ufw & hosts
From my experience with zimbra so far, I have to say that it's a good MTA protocol that can be used for various contexts. Nonetheless, it has some fragile spots. Of all so far I have noticed that zimbra is particularly sensitive to the handling of ufw and etc/hosts. To help anyone who starts out wit...

Re: Generate DKIM: Domain not found?
And now I can't even generate anything at all,
Line 90 in /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdkimkeyutil:
Code: Select all
Connection refused at /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdkimkeyutil line 90.
Code: Select all
my $ldap = Net::LDAP->new($master_ref) or die "$@";

Generate DKIM: Domain not found?
I am trying to generate a DKIM for my sub.domain.com. However, the command keeps saying that there's no such domain. I am running it as a zimbra user of course. Here's how it goes: zimbra@sub:~$ /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdkimkeyutil -a -d sub.domain.com Domain sub.domain.com not found. How could this be?

Re: Can't send any emails
Even after trying to set up split dns via bind, here's how named.conf.options looks like on my ubuntu: options { directory "/var/cache/bind"; // If there is a firewall between you and nameservers you want // to talk to, you may need to fix the firewall to allow multiple // ports to talk. S...

Re: Can't send any emails
A Split DNS is required if you're behind a NAT router (on a private LAN IP) and it's advisable if you're behind a firewall as Zimbra needs to be able to resolve the IP address of the ZCS server. Ok, I will look into it. But, for now, I reckon my dns is properly verified. The output does not seem to...

Re: Can't send any emails
Are the correct ports open in the firewall? You mentioned that your DNS is 'correct' when I asked you earlier, did you configure a Split DNS? If you did then run the commands in the Verify section of this article: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Split_DNS If you don't have that configured then you wil...
