Re: Zimbra 8.8.15 Patch-44 released, share your experience
I've installed this on a small single-machine server based on Ubuntu 18.04.6 ESM, no problems.

Re: Zimbra Security Update
Fair point and likely true of course, I wish I had had the knowledge and time to investigate better.

Re: Zimbra Security Update
I run a very small mail server using Zimbra 8.8.15 on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS. Prior to this patch, Zimbra was at patch 41 and Ubuntu is patched using ESM. My system is now running normally but I had a couple of problems which I'm reporting in case that's useful to anyone looking for a common pattern. Th...

Re: Zimbra 8.8.15_GA_4562 OSS and end of binaries
It may help to refer to this older thread: https://forums.zimbra.org/viewtopic.php?t=68097 That thread is a discussion of exactly this sort of question, when it first arose with Zimbra 9. As you can see from the thread, the process operated by Synacor has stabilised a lot since the early days of Zim...

Mark's advice is good, thanks. I had made a change to main.cf, his warning to check changes to the postconf output picked it up.
Apart from that, an upgrade on Ubuntu 18.04.6 (with ESM) has had no problems on my very small single-server setup.

Re: Undelivered email to Gmail
I have an installation of Zimbra that sits on a server at home, so I have this problem, because e-mails from servers using a domestic IP address are often treated as spam. To make it work, I get my Zimbra installation to send e-mail via a relay provided by one of my service providers. The relay know...

Re: Smtp authentication missing username ip relation on failure
I'd be interested too. I've been running: /bin/zgrep "SASL \|saslauthd\[.*failure" /var/log/zimbra.log /var/log/zimbra.log.1.gz which doesn't get everything on one line, but at least prints pairs (or sometimes triplets) of lines together so it's easy to associate the IP address with the us...

Installing Zimbra 9 OSE on Ubuntu 20.04 - Components missing
I attempted a green-field installation of Zimbra 9 on a newly-built Ubuntu 20.04.3 server. I tried using the very helpful process provided by ianw1974 on Github, and the guidance at https://github.com/zimbra/zm-build for a "traditional install". In both cases, I got as far as running the ....

Replies from zimbra being bounced by secureserver.net
I am using Zimbra 8.8.15_GA3928 on Ubuntu 18.04. It (and earlier versions) has been running well enough with my current hosting service provider, for just under two years. In the last month they have started routing the mail via a new anti-spam system, secureserver.net, and it has started to bounce ...

Re: Can not login to Ajax web client
Somewhat unexpectedly, I had to do this again. I had a working Zimbra server at 8.8.15 P6 on Ubuntu 18 and I upgraded by following the steps at https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases/8.8.15/P7 (basically apt upgrade; su - zimbra; zmcontrol restart) It all seemed to go smoothly, but I soon lear...
