Re: Zimbra 10.1.13 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

Regardless of the environment, Zimbra slapd has started crashing unexpectedly since the installation of the recent Zimbra patch. This has occurred on two independent Zimbra installations for separate customers: one was freshly installed about a month ago, and the other has been running stably (at le...

Re: Zimbra 10.1.13 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

Today we experienced yet another OpenSSL failure - slightly different, but also involving slapd/OpenSSL. I have no idea what is going on. Maybe FIPS is to blame, but it’s enabled by default and provides security for Zimbra, so I wouldn’t want to disable it. Nov 26 10:15:18 mbx1 kernel: [416399.51578...

Re: Zimbra 10.1.13 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

Is it happening only under heavy load, or does it occur normally? I cannot see any pattern. It seems completely random. Does it happen for both LDAPS in MMR? Yes, for both. How often does it crash? In the first environment, mbx1 crashed on 17 and 21 November, and mbx2 LDAP crashed on 10, 15, and 24...

Re: Zimbra 10.1.13 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

In one environment, the issue began after applying the 10.1.13 patch and continues even after the update to 10.1.14. The second environment was upgraded directly to 10.1.14.

Re: Zimbra 10.1.13 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

Since installing patch 10.1.13/10.1.14, I'm also experiencing random slapd crashes in two separate Zimbra environments with MMR enabled. In the syslog, we see entries like: Nov 17 08:04:49 mbx1 kernel: [510197.132163] slapd[2499929]: segfault at 7f1e81000000 ip 00007f4697e9356b sp 00007f1e750fa2b0 e...

Re: Zimbra 10.1.14 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

Removing libcrypt-openssl-bignum-perl with apt remove fixed the issue for me.

Re: Zimbra 10.1.14 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

I can provide information because I experienced the same issue. What command do you use exactly to become the zimbra user? It was of course su - zimbra run as root as always. The issue seems completely random - possibly some kind of race condition during apt update. I've patched about 20 Zimbra env...

Re: Zimbra 10.1.14 Released - Please Post Your Patch/Upgrade Results Here

I can provide information because I experienced the same issue. What’s strange is that I didn’t notice the problem after the patch to 10.1.13, but only after updating to 10.1.14 on this particular server. Right now, I have 2 servers out of about a dozen with this issue. zimbra@zimbra:/opt/patch20251...
