Re: Migration Options

Use the ZeXtras Migration Tool, it's the easiest method for moving to a new server. Does anyone know how Zimbra paid support feels about third party apps? I have been stuck in the "It's your vendor. No, it's the app." merry go round before. I am not knocking ZeXtras or Zimbra, but I have ...

Migration Options

Good day, I am in process of replacing our Zimbra 8.0.7 installation with a new box running Ubuntu 16 and Zimbra 8.8.9. While we are perfectly happy with 8.0.7, it is no longer covered by our paid support. I have read through the forums and wiki articles and, as always, consulted everything written ...

Re: [SOLVED] zimbraHsmAge

Changing the schedule from 'before: -2year' to 'before: -24month' caused HSM to begin moving messages. My thought is that HSM was only looking at the year of the message date, so it would have moved a year's worth of messages on Jan 1 2019. Changing the schedule to 'before: -24month' causes HSM to l...

Re: zimbraHsmAge

Our version is no longer under support, so no help is coming. We have several other projects underway and an upgrade to Zimbra will not be done for a few months.

Anyone want to take a stab at this now?

Since HSM is a network edition feature , why dont you open a case with Z support! We would be happy to help you :-)

Well, I just thought it was an easy answer and didn't want to bother the support staff. I will open a ticket.

Thanks for the response.

[SOLVED] zimbraHsmAge

Good morning (here anyway), We recently setup HSM on our Zimbra server and while it did move data on the initial run it has not moved anything since. My question concerns how the age parameter is used. Currently we have the following. zimbra@Zimbra:~$ zmcontrol -v Release 8.0.7.GA.6021.UBUNTU12.64 U...

Re: (SOLVED) Backup fails for single account

Yes, a pet peeve of mine to spend an hour searching the web for a solution to a problem and to find a thread with the same issue, and after three pages of discussion the last post is "I fixed it" and nothing more.

Ahh, I put it in the wrong place. That is corrected thank you.

Re: Backup fails for single account (solved)

Working with Support, we went through several tests with no effect on the backups. This week I was faced with multiple accounts having problems and saw that the mysql_error.log file was filling up as mysql crashed every time one of the three problem accounts attempted to use email. Looking at the lo...

Re: Backup fails for single account

I removed the offending account and recreated it. Problem went away. Then, two weeks later it happens again. This time it is multiple accounts and not the same account as the first time. This is now looking like a Zimbra problem, possibly with the DB backend. This is a mix of high traffic and low tr...
