Sharing GAL Sync Accounts between domains?
We're running ZCS 8.6 and have about a dozen domains (different research institutes on a campus) distributed across six mailbox servers. All those domains should have the same GAL which is synced from an external LDAP. Right now we've got one GAL sync account per domain per server (ie. about 70 over...

Ubuntu Kernel Question
You can find the instructions here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnabl ... ck#Precise
You should go with the trusty kernel (3.13) though.

SECURITY PROBLEM: Open Memcached in Zimbra 8.6.0_GA_1153
The Ports wiki page is a good start but IMHO that information should be in the Admin Guide (probably in an appendix) with an exact documentation of which Zimbra service/package requires access to which other package and which port. Also, the options to change those ports should be included. For exam...

The DNSBL AHBL (Abusive Hosts Blocking Lists) is no longer offer their service.
The SpamAssassin auto update was added for 8.0.5. From the Release Notes: 82201 A new cronjob has been created to run nightly to check if automated updates to spam assassin are available. The command is zmsaupdate. Two LC keys are configured: • antispam_enable_rule_updates. If TRUE, rule updat...

I think this update is already distributed via the SpamAssassin update mechanism. Depending on your version of Zimbra this should be updated automatically via /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsaupdate

How to reduce number of Java threads and memory usage
Interesting project "How to use Zimbra ZCS on a small Linux box for a few users". I don't think you'll get Zimbra down to less than 2 GB RAM but please keep us posted :-) On topic: I also don't think the number of threads will really make a difference. But there are two or three things you...

Zimbra requiring restarts
My gut feeling says you might be running out of RAM. The file /opt/zimbra/log/zmmailboxd.out might have some error in that case, if it is not that grave you might find errors in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log.

Java error appears when I open server statistics: "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException"
I think just purging the files is not a good idea because they are referenced in the sqlite database but maybe somebody has a pointer to a wiki page or something which discussing resetting the zmstats data. If you like you can try the following command (will run a while): find /opt/zimbra/zmstat -na...
