I think it is one of the basic settings of a ressource account.

Did you have a look in the ressource account using the admin console ?

With the Zimbra SOAP API, isn't it already possible to share a root mailbox in rwdixpa mode and then add the identity in the user webmail ?

So the user has access to an other mailbox xyz@domain and can write emails with from xyz@domain.
