Suddenly cannot login as admin
I have two administrator accounts on zimbra 8.8.11 and suddenly, I cannot get into either one, keep getting authentication failed on port 7071. I've changed the passwords from the CLI and even re-set them both as full administrators but keep getting the same. Server was rebooted, no difference. What...

Re: Blocking SASL logins?
The local firewall is firewalld so I would need more information on what it is that I'm trying to block in order to look up how to do that. Can you give me a breakdown of what this is going. I can see it's watching the log for the warnings I posted and seems to be checking ports 25,465 and 587. The ...

Blocking SASL logins?
I see this in the logs, 24/7, obviously spammers trying to get into our zimbra 8.8.11 servers, I guess doing some kind of dictionary attack. Is SASL related to POPS and/or IMAPS which are all that we really allow? We only have a handful of accounts on the server, mainly for outgoing mail, notificati...

Re: ZD replacement? Fork maybe?
>- No, only web UI for those who have enought money to pay for What does this mean? The web UI is the default non client one on Zimbra to begin with. Pay for what? >- Not safe : potential security breach Can you expand on this? What are these security issues? We have a handful of people that use the...

ZD replacement? Fork maybe?
We have been running a zimbra server (8.8.11) for years and using the current desktop (7.3.1). I read that the zimbra desktop has come to end of life but trying to find information on if there is a replacement or not is frustrating. After reading countless posts and searching the net, it is not clea...

Ah, I use the command line history all the time so must have used it without the hyphen at some point and didn't notice.

su zimbra user - some commands not found
Since upgrading to 8.8.11, I've been seeing an odd problem. I'll read documentation online then want to run a command and often get 'command not found' or 'permission denied'. Example; su zimbra $ zimbraPasswordMaxAge bash: zimbraPasswordMaxAge: command not found $ zimbraPasswordMaxAge 90 bash: zimb...

I think some things were just panic moves trying to figure out what was going on.
