4.5.6 Upgrade Results

There are a lot fewer links to click on in the downloads page of the admin UI. Just an FYI. The files appear to be in the physical directory on the server, just not presented to the admin via the web UI. /opt/zimbra/tomcat/webapps/zimbra/downloads, in case anyone is searching. It's there. Also...nob...

LDAP will not start

OK. I "fixed" it. That's in quotes, because zimbra started now, but I'm not sure what kind of state it is in. Here's the process: #!/bin/bash # # If you're having the same problem I had, zimbra won't be running, so it # probably shouldn't be running. If you have slapd running...you should ...

LDAP will not start

I found the wiki page: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/administrators/3353-ldap-wont-start-after-reboot.html and ran: sudo /opt/zimbra/openldap/libexec/slapd -l LOCAL0 -4 -u zimbra -h ldap://zimbra1.ethosprime.com:389 -f /opt/zimbra/conf/slapd.conf -d 7 I got a little more output from the error: bdb_db...

LDAP will not start

I did a "zmcontrol stop", then a "zmcontrol start" today, and now slapd won't run: This is on ZCS NE 4.5.5 GA Starting ldap...Done. FAILED => bdb_last_id: get failed: DB_PAGE_NOTFOUND: Requested page not found (-30988) bdb_db_open: last_id(/opt/zimbra/openldap-data) failed: DB_PA...

Zimbra/Outlook high levels of traffic

We have been seeing this issue often, and we're using 4.5.5 NE. This traffic starts as soon as the user boots up, and lasts all day long, saturating the outbound traffic on the T1. (Well it did, until I rate-limited all traffic going to our zimbra server.) I'll see about attaching my tcpdump of 5000...

where are my zimlets ?

When I got in today, it was evident that my coworker installed a ton of Zimlets overnight. I read in the wiki how to configure the asterisk Zimlet, and I seem to be having issues. It thinks the zimlet is not found...when it clearly was. OK...nevermind. Evidently, if you're not in /opt/zimbra/zimlets...

external LDAP, password change
Thanks, Kevin. The bug has been submitted. I would really like to see ZCS fixed so that the users could change their LDAP passwords from the web application, though. I did find the option to remove the 'change password' button, so that will work well for now.
...

Java defunct

EDIT: We're using ZCS NE 4.5.5 on Centos 4.2 [root@zimbra1 ~]# ps auxw| grep Z | grep -v ZIMB | wc -l 586 nrpe (a service for nagios) and sshd often die when this happens. How do I determine why this is happening? I see some of these lines in /var/log/zimbra.log: Jun 1 07:53:12 zimbra1 slapd[12176]:...

Untrusted Server Certificate Chain Error

I am getting this error too. Can I forego these steps to recreate the cert by upgrading from 4.5.2 NE to 4.5.5 NE?

Please Vote - Tabbing from subject to body with signature puts cursor at bottom

This is an annoying bug. I don't know why this wouldn't be at the top of the list of bugs to fix. If people are hitting TAB, they're trying to save themselves from touching the mouse, which they end up having to do to replace the cursor where it needs to be. I came here specifically to create a thre...
