Backup NG - Are mail filters restored on a mailbox restore?
Trying to confirm this via Zimbra documentation, when one does a mailbox restore (say you're migrating a domain/mailboxes from one Zimbra server to another), are mailbox filtering rules restored as well?

Re: Where to call doMailboxMove from?
OK zxsuite was helpful (lots of options) at the CLI, and prompted this syntax instead:
Code: Select all
zxsuite hsm doMailboxMove mail1.example.com accounts john@example.com

Where to call doMailboxMove from?
Needing to move some mailboxes around (hard to believe I haven't had to do this yet) between a couple mailbox-servers, I was looking this page over: https://zimbra.github.io/adminguide/latest/index.html#_moving_mailboxes_between_mailstores Does it matter where you call doMailboxMove from? The docume...

Re: Can't edit or change initial HSM policy
Weighing in WAY late, but I only now running into a scenario where a client has asked about HSM (and did a bit of searching if someone else had run into this). Ran into the same thing with editing/deleting the default HSM policy. I was confused at first but now feel likes it make sense to HAVE a def...

Re: Install or activate zimbra chat in NE 8.8.15_GA_3888
Hi Rick,
Thanks for checking in on this (I was just sorting out details on this).
One question (on the Ubuntu section):
- The last step is: apt-get remove zimbra-connect
should it be:
- apt-get install zimbra-connect
Thanks,
David

Re: [SOLVED] zxsuite "Unable to communicate to server"
I can confirm that after an upgrade to last 8.8.15 NG modules does not work at all. In our case it's necessary to do an apt-ugrade after the upgrade, and the system takes a new packet of ng-modules from archives. We had the same kind of experience after an upgrade from 8.8.12 to 8.8.15 NE, after th...

Re: Error after restart
In this case with a stale PID-file, do as you're prompted. Stop all Zimbra services (confirm w/zmcontrol status) and see if /opt/zimbra/log/httpd.pid exists. If so cat the PID-file and see if there is a process with that number (I think there shouldn't be). Remove the file manually. Try restarting Z...

Hi Jim, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I wasn't clear on this statement? Given you probably digitally sign your domains, it would be harder to spoof and an additional clause could strengthen against FN/FP's? I like that there are some possibilities with Amavis/SA but was hoping (ha!) not ...
