Personas show as "On Behalf Of"
We are fighting a huge political issue where users with multiple personas try to send a message but it gives the "On Behalf Of" label, revealing the original sending address and creating a business risk. I see that this is discussed in bug 22819 but am unable to determine if this was fixed...

Mac OS/X 10.6 Snow Leopard
It all comes down to whether or not Apple is using ActiveSync protocol (which Zimbra supports) and not OWA or MAPI or some other MS thing that makes my head hurt. On the upside Zimbra provides a bunch of other options for Mail/iCal/Address Book... May not be exactly what you are looking for but I ha...

BES users able to browse subnet!
Good evening, and sorry if this is a stupid question. We have a test BES and a handful of test users on Curve 8310s. One user can discovered that they can browse the intranet, and after I tested further OTHER servers on the internal network, whether on the DMZ or not! This is very scary behavior, I ...

Zimbra CalDAV with MobileMe
This is a tough issue. I strongly recommend you use Apple's feedback site to leave request for MobileMe to use CalDAV and/or .ics subscriptions (very odd, since iPhone 3.0 will allow both this summer.) The only other techniques are workarounds: macosxhints.com - Sync subscribed calendars to the iPho...

iPhone + Shared Folders
I think shared items are requested in Bug 30950 – iphone: sync with shared contacts and calendars I have a bad hacky workaround for viewing shared calendars--it entails creating a new calendar and subscribing to the public shared calendar as a URL (e.g. https://zimbra.yourdomain.com:443/home/user@yo...

For those of you authenticating against Open Directory
I know there are only 2.5 people here using Mac OS X Open Directory ;) , but I thought it would be a treat to tell you my observations in getting Zimbra to authenticate against our Open Directory service. Under LDAP server name you can use either the DNS name or the IP address of the OD Master. You ...

How to beat Blackberry-Features?
I have had very good results with my iPhone via ActiveSync. - My iPhone 'Sent' items go to sent folder no problem, YMMV. Maybe a recent update fixed this, I don't know. - I am not getting GALs on any handheld devices. I am not able to browse GAL on the BBs either, only in BlackBerry Manager (maybe I...

Windows Live Mail theme
I can only speak from OLD experience that back in my CommuniGate days a developer that did skins that resembled Hotmail was asked by Microsoft to remove it. I imagine that this would be quite the same.

[SOLVED] Installing BES: Is Active Directory required?
I redid the whole server. The thing I did differently with this install was not to use Remote Desktop, instead installing BPS directly at the computer. This negated the previous report that it was a "Terminal Server" and the BlackBerry software installer went as desired start to finish thi...

[SOLVED] Installing BES: Is Active Directory required?
I already had one failed install (I am actually trying to install BPS on a Windows 2003 Server VM). I am following the BPS documentation very closely this time and see these instructions: "You create and configure a Microsoft® Windows® account and mailbox in the Microsoft® Active Direc...
