Sounds very cool and useful.
however, since its not from Zimbra directly, may I suggest changing com_zimbra to something unique to you?

Temporary Outage - Multi-server
Also, any legitimate email server on the Internet will queue and retry emails to your server if you are down and unreachable. Depending on the time you are down, it may take them longer to retry, but you should be able to be down for a few hours without losing any email. It will just come in delayed.

Temporary Outage - Multi-server
[quote user="2320mhammett"]That said, my Zimbra environment has 2x LDAP, 2x SMTP, 2x Mailstore, 1x Proxy VMs. If I leave up the primary LDAP and an SMTP, will my environment not lose any messages? I understand that clients wouldn't be able to retrieve them if the mailstores and proxy were ...

No progress on support case
I don't know where else to go. I can't seem to get the support rep to respond for days, and we have a critical issue that has been open for two weeks. Case number 101937 - resulted in a bug being created (bug 79784) with no progress. Is there anyone at Zimbra monitoring this forum that can help get ...

Upgrade Paths
Peter, It says it right there, and you quoted it: "To upgrade from 5.0.x or 6.0.x to 7.1.x, download the latest ZCS 7.1.x and run the upgrade." If you are at 6.0.x, you just download the 7.1.x release you want to update to and run the upgrade. You say you are at 6.0.14 == 6.0.x You want to...

Why is it necessary to backup the mysql database?
That is specifically for the MySQL database. Larger sites will have that on a different high performance volume, and it is possible that the database may crash, while the rest of the server remains in tact. For a large site, if there is only a database server/volume crash, they can recover just the ...

How to delete accounts of corrupted mysql database
As long as you delete from LDAP, you should be able to recreate from backup. There is a chance that something might be left in the zimbra.mailbox table within MySQL referencing the account, which may (or may not) throw off the backup. If that happens, feel free to post again and let me know what err...

How to delete accounts of corrupted mysql database
Try "zmprov -l deleteAccount user@domain.com"
That will go straight to LDAP to get it out of the system.
Make sure you can get it out of LDAP before you do anything inside of the mailbox SQL.

Your zmprov command is trying to rename the account, but your original message said you are trying to delete. Which is it?
And when you get the error, check /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log and see what the details about the error are, there may be more hints.
