Ubuntu Packages

You must be new here. Welcome. The short of it is that we bundle things as a unit across all platforms and it makes our lives easier, testing wise. Also it makes it simpler for someone new trying Zimbra to uninstall cleanly. If someone wants to downstream do a more integrated distro package - hey th...

Webmail via POP
Say you've POP'd mail from another account - then within zimbra, that mail will be part of the Zimbra index, message and data store?
Yes, the message is stored locally and can be tagged, flagged, etc also.

upgraded to 4.5 (OS edition), now no dspam?

Looks like your Bayes database is not being used:
4.0.3: BAYES_99=3.5

4.5: BAYES_50=0.001
Did the upgrade for some reason lose your Bayes DB?
That would be a major bug.
Let me ask around here if anyone knows why this would happen.

How to open a shared calendar?
Is there any ways of doing a private message in Outlook.
If you are a paying network customer (and you must be since you are using ZCO), you can send mail to support@zimbra and tell them that you are interested in having this bug fixed: Support">h...

RESOLVED: saslauthd: Permission denied (external SMTP AUTH broken)

I looked through the cyrus-sasl sources, and the only place your original error message ("cannot connect to saslauthd server: Permission denied") is created is when the connect(3) on the "mux" file fails. Note that the error is EPERM, and not ENOENT. Unfortunately there is no log...

RESOLVED: saslauthd: Permission denied (external SMTP AUTH broken)

How about: # ldd /opt/zimbra/postfix/libexec/smtpd | grep sasl libsasl2.so.2 => /opt/zimbra/cyrus-sasl/lib/libsasl2.so.2 (0x0000002a95a00000) Path to the socket is hard coded in SASL client libs (I think), and this will tell us if you are using the lib that came with Zimbra or not.
