Is changing a Domain Alias to local as easy as doing this

or should I delete the alias and create a new domain ?

We would like to access the Briefcase of ZD 2 Beta2 from the desktop on a mac 10.6.x is there a way to do so ?
I should be able to point to localhost for webdav but I dont think I have the right info.
