Convert a multiserver to single server

How many servers do you currently have, and what are their roles?

Also what Zimbra version (zmcontrol -v) for them?

You need to make sure you migrate LDAP services to the single server you want to reduce to, and then move mailboxes to the single server.

If you are looking for consultants with Zimbra experience and knowledge to help, others may post to let you know if they are available to help. Other than that, feel free to PM me with more details if you are looking for someone to ha...

SOAP API, how to manage out-of-office auto-reply, mail forwarding and local delivery

I'm mobile at the moment, so can't do the tests to give you the answer. But the fastest way to find out is to open up Chrome or Firefox and use the Developer Tools to view the raw network requests. Once that is enabled, make the change in your own account and view the request that the Web UI made to...

Another slightly different active/stand-by question

rsync is the suggested method to migrate to a new server, so it is a valid method for replicating files. however, if you are rsync'ing indexes, you are going to have a large bandwidth increase across your wan. Whenver a message comes in, the index(es) for that particular user are updated. You can ig...

Searching Emails as a User in Zimbra OpenSource Edition

Just to add to that, I found this specific text in there, so it doesn't look like wildcards will do what you are looking for, unfortunately:

Wildcards (*) are only supported at the end of word, and the search works as if it's a prefix search.

Searching Emails as a User in Zimbra OpenSource Edition

The notes at Zimbra Web Client Search Tips - Zimbra :: Wiki state that the wildcard works after a prefix. I don't believe the indexes are set up to allow a wildcard to come at the beginning of a word.

Copy and Paste Attachments...

There is not a way to do that. An alternative is to save the attachment to the Briefcase, and then attach it from the Briefcase in the new message. It's a couple more steps than an Outlook copy&paste, but it will prevent the attachment from needing to be downloaded to the clients computer just t...
