Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

Hi Mark! Thanks for weighing in, my research (between Zimbra Support & Zimbra Wiki's) so far matched up nicely with your process/survey of the migration-landscape in this scenario. Some remarks: • The shuttle-disk concept will work great in our private cloud (where many of our clients' single-se...

Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

OK further follow-up (as I've uncovered a few things that were unclear to me ). Zimbra Support offered up this URL as a starting point for migrations to 8.8.* • https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Migration On that page (in the "Creating a Backup from Source Server" section) it mentions: •...

Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

Thanks Bill! So to report in, I'm now following this method: - https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_NG_Modules/Zimbra_NG_Backup/Incremental_migration_with_Zimbra_NG_Backup This incremental migration (where one does the initial data export/import, switch MX records and then do a final migration to cap...

Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

I've been tasked with crafting a proper recipe for migrating Zimbra services from one server running ZCS NE 8.6.0 to ZCS NE 8.8.7. I'm currently shooting for a side-by-side migration and using the Zextras NG Backup to get it done. As I understand, Zimbra NG Backup comes enabled by default in 8.8.7. ...

Re: migration of e-mail accounts

Hi leoyip, This URL: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/How_to_move_ZCS_to_another_server has been our (at Reliable Networks) usual method for "migrating" Zimbra services from one server to another (where the same version of Zimbra is configured on both the OLD and NEW servers). I think what Bra...

Re: Filter - no "Redirect to Address" option

We see this in a Zimbra 8.7.11_GA_1854 (build 20170531151956) deployment as well.

I've added my 2cents to https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=107530

Re: Filter Rules Error

OK, I meant to follow up on this sooner (sorry I missed your reply on this Jorge). So, I went a couple rounds w/support, sent logs (mailbox.log where we were doing elevated logging for my account) & sent a copy of my filters. Eventually support's response was that out of 87 filter rules in 83 th...

Filter Rules Error

I started noticing that some of my email wasn't getting filtered into the folders I've specified. I get a lot of email & there are many filters (~80): - it's never the same filter that fails - a filtering could fail in one moment but then run fine all day and I've always found that if I manually...
