Third Party Antivirus - How To !!

Hello All,
I have a client who is willing to come over to Zimbra zcs NE ver.8, But he asked me a very important question.
He wants me to provide third party Antivirus solution with Zimbra.
I know zimbra provides a very efficient inbuilt anti spam and antivirus, and i tried to convince him for it, But he does not bend.
Hence i now need to prove to him, that this can be done, But the question is HOW ?
Can any one send me a -"How To" on this issue ?

In my opinion the best way to do this would be to run a 3rd party anti-virus/spam gateway in front of your Zimbra server and then pass incoming email through this gateway.
Theoretically though, since Zimbra uses amavisd, which supports other anti-virus software, you could install one of these supported anti-virus software packages on the Zimbra server and then configure the Zimbra amavisd software to use it. However, this would be outside the standard Zimbra install so troubleshooting and getting help would be made more difficult.
