Hello,
I've seen that ZCS 8.8 is now available for download in its Release Ready version, but I'm surprised that it isn't available for Ubuntu 12.04. Will it be later or not at all ?
We use Ubuntu Server 12.04.5 with the updated Kernel that was necessary for 8.7 if I remember well. Currently we are in ZCS OSE 8.7.11
Thanks !

What makes you think it's not available? https://zimbra.org/download/zimbra-collaboration

Well, as you see, you can download it for 14.04 LTS and 16.04 LTS, not 12.04 LTS like the previous ZCS versions.

Sorry, my mistake - I've just realized that I meant to add that the version you're looking for has been deprecated AFAIK.bassofpain wrote:Well, as you see, you can download it for 14.04 LTS and 16.04 LTS, not 12.04 LTS like the previous ZCS versions.

Ok, so I guess there will be a migration to plan sooner or later
Thanks
Thanks

I'm afraid so but if you're putting up a new server you can always use the ZeXtras Migration Toll for a relatively painless move.bassofpain wrote:Ok, so I guess there will be a migration to plan sooner or later

Thanks for the hint !
My problem is, the current server was not installed by me so I'm a bit confused with the configuration of the server... Anyway, this is off topic.

Hi!
As phoenix said, you can use Zextras to migrate to a newer OS, and as you said, we will not release a Ubuntu 12.04 release for 8.8. It's deprecated from the vendor, so we are foloowing them too.
Thanks!

The preferred method would be to use the full zextras backup tool in zxsuite IF you can get the migration done during the trial period. There is documentation on this method here , "MIG-88-incremental-migration-with-backup-from-old-to-88" {I don't think the url will land you in the right section, but rather at the top of the page} :
https://zimbra.github.io/adminguide/wor ... -old-to-88
If you don't think you can migrate within the zxsuite trial period, then you can fall back to using the zextras migration tool.
