Upgrade fails from v8.0.5 to v8.7.11 (open source)

I have tried to upgrade my existing Zimbra mail server from the open source version v8.0.5 GA to v8.7.11 GA open source edition but it fails with the message displaying "unable to download packages from repository, system is not modified".
However when i tried to upgrade from the open source version v8.0.5 GA to v8.6.0 GA open source edition then it works fine.
My DNS and other settings are fine.
The log files in /tmp directory doesn't say much.
My guess is the repositories can't be downloaded properly for v8.7.11 GA open source edition because of some script error.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Why don't you install the current version of ZCS 8.8.4?

Thanks "Phoenix" for the update.
But according to Zimbra website 8.7.11 GA release is the latest stable release for open source.
v8.8 is the Beta version which isn't stable yet.

ZCS 8.8.3 & 8.8.4 (both OSS) were both GA when I originally installed them. The only minor hiccup I had was with 8.8.4 & IPv6 causing the proxy to not start, a quick fix solved that problem - I'm still running 8.8.4 without problems. I don't know why you're having problems with that version of ZCS & the repository, have you still got ZCS 8.6 installed and are you having a problem upgrading that?

I have upgraded now from v8.0.5 to v8.6.0. But still i can't upgrade to v8.7.11 from v8.6.0.
I discovered that the downloaded file size of v8.6.0 is 880MB (approx.) whereas the downloaded file size of v8.7.11 is 283MB (approx.).
So that means, to install v8.6.0 there isn't much need to download any files from zimbra depositories as most files are already available in the package, but for v8.7.11 a lot of files need to be downloaded from zimbra repositories during installation.
So my guess is the installation scripts have some bug for which it can't download files from zimbra repositories during the installlation of v8.7.11.
