Does anyone know release date of Zimbra for Ubuntu 18.04?
Is there a beta available for non-developers?

No, release dates are never announced in advance

No.

Ubuntu typically doesn’t deem an LTS release really LTS until around the .3 release. Once they do, they then support in-place upgrades.

I haven’t seen Zimbra release binaries for any Ununtu LTS release until a bit after it becomes truly LTS.

Hope that helps,
Mark

18.04.1 is out since July 25, 2018 - it would be great if this LTS version will become supported soon

What's wrong with 16.04?

I'll speculate that we will never see (nor is there a need for IMHO) Ubuntu 18.04 binaries of Zimbra 8.8.x.

Why? Because Ubuntu 16.04 is supported for a few months longer than ZCS 8.8. Both end of life around the same time.

All the best,
Mark

Thank you, Mark. I'll stop stressing about upgrading Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04, now, and await the release of, I guess it will be, Zimbra 8.9.?

This sucks. It looks like Zimbra should run on 18.04, so I guess you could just do that.

I'm thinking about running do-release-upgrade on my Ubuntu 16.04 with Zimbra 8.8.10_GA_3745 (build 20181221070313) installed, however I'm worried that zimbra may not work.
What steps should I take to upgrade my os, can I do the upgrade and just rerun the zimbra install? (after backups of course)

Think about it all you want; just don't do it! :-)
