Installing Zimbra 8.8.12_GA_3794 on Ubuntu 18.04

Hi all.
I had a problem during the installation of the Zimbra 8.8.12_GA on Ubuntu 18.04. Logger configuration failed and I had nonworking monitoring section in administration console. As I understand zimbra installer tried to configure syslogservice but Ubuntu has a rsyslog. Is it right?

This is what I see in the setup log:

I have initial reply from support and I'm sending the setup log and zmsyslogsetup files. They're indicating that 18.04 support is still in beta though!

I thought It`s final release and good enough for production setup.

I thought It`s final release and good enough for production setup.
It tells you in the Release Notes that support for Ubuntu 18.04 is Beta, I'd suggest that everyone should read those Notes in detail before install/upgrading ZCS

as an add'l indicator of 'support', might want to at least wait to see the Ubu16->Ubu18 path written up here:

beta badge to the
download page. If you can add this note to the ticket it can help others.

Will do. I haven't heard back from support yet on this after submitting what they requested.

The Release Notes contain the 'beta' statement about Ubuntu, it really is always worth reading those in detail before any upgrade.
