We currently have Zimbra 8.0.2 GA. From which version of Zimbra Collaboration do I need a license to install the product?
Can we upgrade our server to a newer version for free?
It is mounted on a Suse 11 server.

Suse is no longer a supported platform, you need to investigate how you're going to move to a supported distribution. Take a look at wiki articles and forum threads on the subject, after that if you have follow-up questions then post them in the forums.
BTW, you don't need a licence to run the OSS version of ZCS.
