Hi,
I have read, but my question is related our multiserver, I'm not sure the correct steps, or order to upgrade, in this url describes a provess very simple yum update and other making updates manyally component by component, and I have this question, all in upgrade or step by step?
order on multiserver?
Thanks

Re: Upgrade 8.8.15 Patch 4 to 8.8.15 Patch 24
The patches are cumulative, so there should be no problem going straight from P4 to P24. No intermediate steps needed.
There have been no schema changes or other incompatibilities (so far) between patch releases, so the order is not really important.
That said, for such large jumps I'd use the same order as for version upgrades, that is: LDAP first, then MTA's, proxies, mailstores.
If you have multiple components running on a server though (eg. LDAP and proxy), you won't be able to upgrade component by compenent, since eg. OpenSSL got a major version bump. So upgrade all components on a server at once, in a single yum update.

Re: Upgrade 8.8.15 Patch 4 to 8.8.15 Patch 24
Hi,
Perfect, thanks for this information.
a last question, It is a best practices to stop all zimbra services on all server (before to make a backup) and then make yum update first ldap master, then start, then yum update ldap slave and start zimbra services and fianlly update two mtas and start zimbra services, I'm planing this upgrade plan, Is it correct?
Any known issue or bug on latest 8.8.15 P24? It seems that no rollback (right?) method exist and I like to ensure that is a stable version
thanks

Doing a snapshot before you upgrade is a good idea (always), so you can revert to previous state in case of error.
However, these are patches. They change files on the servers, they don't change data (update schema).

Perfect, Thanks
It is recommended to make zmcontrol stop before yum update or run yum update with zimbra started?
I'm planning to stop all server and upgrade (yum update) with zmcontrol stop before start yum update, correct?
thanks

Same here, just restart services after patch installation (or reboot if it's a full yum update including OS updates).
No need to take down the whole platform at once.
