Upgrade from 8.7.11

Post by Nodøn »

Hi
It is the first time I have do administer Zimbra. I will have to update a Zimbra from Version "8.7.11_GA_1854.RHEL7_64_20170531151956 RHEL7_64 FOSS edition" to any secure version. I found https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases and therefore I have to update to version 8.8.15. I'm still trying to find documentation on how to upgrade. Can this update be done in one step or do I have to upgrade in multiple smaller steps? I also found https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_NG_ ... _Upgrading, but how is the actual upgrade done?
I'm happy to read documentation, I'm just having a hard time finding the right documentation.
Kind regards
Nodøn

It really isn't that difficult to find the documentation, do an internet search here: https://www.startpage.com/sp/search for the words:

Code: Select all

upgrade zimbra
That will get you everything you need. I'd suggest you read the Release Notes in detail, upgrade your o/s then upgrade Zimbra (after you've made a backup).

Thank you for your help. I found https://zimbra.github.io/installguides/ ... grade.html. Seems to be what I need.

Well done, that was the one you needed. :) NTW, you might like to continue using startpage as your search engine (if you don't already) it is a 'no tracking' site, it does searches via google but removes all the tracking information before showing you the results.
