For those who already applied the patch on their zimbra server, I just want to know did you also apply the instructions on "Changes required for SSO setup before patch upgrade"? Can we skip that procedure? Thanks

The instructions say : "Before upgrade, if the zimbraVirtualHostName parameter is not set for the domains that are using SAML and SSO based login, please set by following the instructions: "

Are you using SAML or SSO?

You would have had to configure it. ;)

I'm not sure it's a good idea at the moment and certainly not without taking backups. :) I forgot to ask if this an NE version or OSS? If it's the OSS, from where did you download it?

It should be OK AFAIK but it goes without saying that you should read the patch release notes in the wiki and take suitable backups so you can recover, if necessary.

It looks like upgrading from 8.8.12 patch 6 to 8.8.15 patch 32 (Use Zimbra's package repository [Y]) on ubuntu 16.04 will not automatically install zimbra-ldap-patch leading to a broken installation (http error 500 while accessing the webmail, java exceptions in mailbox.log).
zimbra-patch, zimbra-mta-patch and zimbra-proxy-patch will normally upgrade as they were already installed.
A simple:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install zimbra-ldap-patch
sudo su - zimbra
zmcontrol restart
will fix the issue.

If this is expected behaviour it shoulbe be probably mentioned on the release notes, since manually installing zimbra-ldap-patch seems to be only required for 'Installing zimbra packages individually'.
