Hi,
I have an old Zimbra-Mail-Server (Version 8.0.9). Now I want to move to new Hardware, to a clean up to date OS and Zimbra 9.
What is the easiest way to migrate all accounts to the new system?
Is it possible, to restore an 8.0.9-Backup to a 9-Server?
thanks in advance
Markus Wenke

Since you are running Network Edition I’d suggest using dExternalRestore to restore your 8.0.9 backups to your new 9.0.0 server using the method documented here:
https://zimbra.github.io/zimbra-9/admin ... ith-backup
Hope that helps,
Mark

Are you sure doExternalRestore works with legacy backups?
8.0.9 is using legacy backup, Backup NG appeared in 8.8.

Hi all,
thanks for your answers.
I tried to restore the 8.0.9-Backup to Zimbra 9 with zmrestore and it worked perfectly, so I hope my problem is solved, and I do not need any more assistance.
