After upgrading to P34 some users cannot login.
In Admn Gui I change the password for a specific user, but the user cannot login. First message is "Unknown network error ocurred"....after that "The username or password is incorrect"..
I login in Admin Gui->change user password -> try to login with user-> error"The username or password is incorrect"

I have tried to reset the password for that user with command line, but same error iwhen user tries to login in webclient.

This dumb update broke 2 VMs.

CentOS 7.9, using Zimbra OSS repository.

Who in his right mind, made an update, where one of the packages has a post-install script which deletes the cpio binary from /usr/bin and its documentation?!

THATS A SYSTEM PACKAGE!!!

So if you do an "yum update", which updates everything, and there happens to be a kernel update as well, and you are do not wait enough time (about a minute after the process is over), you will not see how Dracut fails in creating a boot image.
So i did a quick reboot, after confirming all Zimbra services were running. But with new kernel and failed to create a proper boot image for it, your OS will fail to load.

Like, for real. CentOS is trash, but this update literally breaks OSes if you are not careful. In Ubuntu, boot images are created DURING kernel update. Not after.

Package "cpio" is a system package, that is used by LITERALLY everything in RHEL based systems.
So Zimbra SHOULD NOT REMOVE IT. EVER.
In fact, if you try removing it by yourself (yum remove cpio), it will fail, because even systemd depends on it.

Under which repository on Github does this falls on, so i can create an issue there?

Wired Problem with caldav and mobile view [solved]

Post by oetiker »

I have some complaints about garbled view of the Mobile Web client on Mobile Phones ... after p34
the screenshot is from a Samsung s20+, chrome

Should I try that ?
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=68158

Deleting all files in the jetty work cache directory did solve the problem. Probably a good thing to do
from time to time ....

That's mental. Can you identify the specific package that does the removal?
I've just been through the Ubuntu packages post-install scripts and there's nothing there that does it.

I don't see it on CentOS 7.9, either: rpm -qa --scripts zimbra\* | grep cpio
No Zimbra packages messing with cpio. And /usr/bin/cpio is still present.

Different result here with RHEL8

Code: Select all

% zmcontrol -v
Release 8.8.15_GA_3953.RHEL8_64_20200629025823 RHEL8_64 NETWORK edition, Patch 8.8.15_P34.
% which cpio
/usr/bin/cpio
and same for the OSS version on RHEL8 (formally centos 8 but now Oracle 8)

Code: Select all

% zmcontrol -v
Release 8.8.15_GA_3953.RHEL8_64_20200629025823 RHEL8_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P34.
% which cpio
/usr/bin/cpio

Does anyone actually verify available packages in repo to list in patch release? - https://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?title ... 8.8.15/P34

Code: Select all

baseurl=https://repo.zimbra.com/rpm/87/rhel7
baseurl=https://repo.zimbra.com/rpm/8815/rhel7
I seems to miss few with centos 7 installation:

Code: Select all

zimbra-spell-components.x86_64    2.0.8-1zimbra8.8b1.el7     zimbra-8815-oss
zimbra-perl-mail-spamassassin.x86_64 3.4.6-1zimbra8.8b3.el7  zimbra-8815-oss
zimbra-spamassassin-rules.x86_64   1.0.0-1zimbra8.8b5.el7    zimbra-8815-oss
Release notes speaking about

Code: Select all

zimbra-spell-components                           -> 2.0.9-1zimbra8.8b1
zimbra-perl-mail-spamassassin                     -> 3.4.6-1zimbra8.8b4
zimbra-spamassassin-rules                         -> 1.0.0-1zimbra8.8b6
Do I look at wrong repos for 8.8.15 P34?

Hellow, could you help me? I wood loike to know what is the relationship betwin the GA version or build and the path number.
For example, my server is "NAME""Zimbra""VERSION""8.8.15_GA_4372""RELEASE""2022070726082327"
What path have I got in my server? 32, 33, 34?
Is my server afected by the vulnerability CVE-2022-38465?
Is there any table or feed that provided this information?
Thank you so much friend.
