gmail to zimbra migration

Hello Experts,
Can anyone tell me about best way to migrate gmail to Zimbra OSE? OR How many ways to migrate?

Hi,

There is no automated tool to do so I think. So, depending on the number of accounts, you could do a 1 by 1 migration with a thick client like outlook/thunderbird.

If there are lots of users, the only way I can think of is by enabling imap access to all gmail accounts, and then using imapsync to copy e-mails.

For other information like contacts, calendar, etc...I wouldn't know how to import them in a bulk fashion from gmail, but the import is done easily to zimbra via REST API (once you have the files exported first from gmail).

Thanks for your answer. I am a bit late. I think I would need to provide password of gmail account in order to migrate it to Zimbra through imapsync right?

Just 'cause google is killing the "grandfathered" free accounts, and I'm not about to give google actual cash (2022-05-01).
