Export mailbox fails on some domains (zmmailbox -> connection refused)

Post by 14629fish »

Hi,
I have a problem with my Zimbra OSE 8.0.2 installation. The installtion holds e-mail accounts for 7 different domains. Everything works quite well, except exporting emailaccounts with zmmailbox.
zmmailbox --debug -v -z -m "mail@mydomain.net" getRestURL "//?fmt=zip"
zmmailbox works for 3 out of my 7 domains. I compared the dns records of the different domains, but I can't find a difference between the domains which work and the domains which doesn't.
On domains where it doesn't work, the following output is printed to my shell:

ERROR: zclient.IO_ERROR (Unable to get REST resource from http://mydomain.net/home/mail@mydomain. ... t/?fmt=zip: Connection refused) (cause: java.net.ConnectException Connection refused)

The last succsessfull SOAP message zmmailbox receives, is the on which contains lots of information about the email account, like aliases and preferences.
mailbox.log looks like this:

Additional information:

The server has a SplitDNS setup cause it runs behind NAT.
Do you have any idea where I can search for the reason of the "connection refused" error?
Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Hi,

What do you got when you try to access this path manually?

Hi

An export as I would like to have. The export over web gui also works.

I run zmmailbox lokal as root on my standalone Zimbra box.

Hello all
I know that this is an old post, but I found a solution for this problem and want to share it. The problem is in "Public Server Host Name"
Configure - Domains - Your problematic domain - General information - Public Server Host Name.
Just erase it and restart zimbra
I hope this help to someone

Hello,

if you delete the public service hostname, you might encounter problem with external share.
Without this setting external share show internal store fqdn inside the URL related to the shared object.

The only solution is to force the hostname in the command and it is possible with "-u" and the full path.
