Mailbox restore - wrong storage?

Post by 12439Aleks »

Hi
We have set up HSM to store older messages on different network storage outside VM. We did similar with zimbra backups (auto-grouped).

When I restore my mailbox to a new mailbox with prefix I get error "no such BLOB" on messages older than 1 month (messages on HSM).

Comparing original and restored mailbox, capacity is the same on HSM and message store.

Investigating further I discovered wrong locator values in mysql mboxgroupXY.mail_item compared to original mailbox.

For restored mailbox, ALL records in table, have been changed and point out to default message store instead of HSM store.
Does anyone else having similar problems?
BR, Aleks

Mailbox restore - wrong storage?

I've moved messages from HSM store to primary store and all HSM messages were accessible...
Can someone recreate this scenario and confirm this behavior so it can be filed as bug for 8.0.1 NE?

Yes, I can confirm. You probably hit this bug:
Bug 80610 zmrestore creates faulty mailbox when using HSM
The issue seems to be fixed in 8.0.4.

You really should upgrade off of 8.0.1 NE ASAP. It has serious DB corruption issues with the LDAP server.

Yes, we have upgraded to 8.0.4 NE and restore works fine now. Other than that, we did not had any other troubles with Zimbra 8.0.1.
PS: We did hit on another problem after ZCS upgrade with TB Lightning calendars, but it seems to me it's more TB's password manager related for now.
Thanks,

BR Aleks
