Hello,
Which Zimbra version are you running, on which OS, and what are the resources you have for the server?
After upgrade from 8.6 to 8.7 on ubuntu 12.04, the webmail hangs after few hours

Using Zimbra 8.7.11_GA_1854.FOSS
On Ubuntu LTS 16.0.4
Server with
8 Core CPU
48 GB RAM
100 GB SSD
1.5 TB HDD
keep getting I have also disabled the proxy service
Error java.io.IOException: Too many open files
I Keep seeing that the memory usage gets maxed out if left running.
lsof reveals a lot of the below entries
java 2179 2569 zimbra 331r FIFO 0,10 0t0 131905134 pipe
java 2179 2569 zimbra 332w FIFO 0,10 0t0 131905134 pipe
java 2179 2569 zimbra 333u a_inode 0,11 0 7041 [eventpoll]

On searching the internet I looked into this article which seemed to perfectly define the error.
http://www.adarshr.com/too-many-open-files
I have disabled the proxy service
switched from Ubuntu to Centos
I have also tried to block all connection other than required ports all to no avail.
What is the easiest and best method to downgrade the version?
I also tried to monitor the files opens one file which kept repeatedly appearing other than pipe:[{sequentially increasing number}] and anon_inode:[eventpoll] is
/opt/zimbra/jetty-distribution-9.3.5.v20151012/lib/websocket/websocket-server-9.3.5.v20151012.jar
