7.1.3 to 8.7.1 migration to AWS

Hi All

I hoping for a few suggestions or pointers

I have the task of moving a 7.1.3 physical server to AWS and using the latest version of software

I have installed 16.04 tls from a AWS ami and installed 8.7.1 on this machine and manually copied over as many settings as I can, I now want to move all the accounts and data

my question is can I do this with a backup from the old server and a restore on the new one, backup is only just over 100GB so not that bad.

thanks for your help

This has been covered many times in the forums. ;) If you want an easy method to move all the users and configuration to a new server then set-up you correct DNS for the new server and use the ZeXtras Migration Tool to move everything - it's easy to use, it's relatively quick, easy to use and it's free.

+1 with Zextras, as it also cover migration between Zimbra version as on yours. Zextras will also migrate all account identity, configuration and mailboxes.

Okay, hopefully all process went smooth as expected. Let us know if you find any trouble on migration process so we can then discuss for the solution
