frequents disconnetions pop/smtp

Hello,

We have a multi-servers configuration:

2-servers acting as mta/proxy
2-servers acting as mailstore/ldap

We are having problem with multiple user behind one IP (for instance society with one public IP). they get frequents disconnetions pop/smtp.

I thing there must be a kind of pretection mechanins that is launch when the mumbers of connection comming from one IP is important and new connexions are rejected.
Any idea please?

Hello,

Dosfilter are configure in store servers as follow:

zmprov gcf zimbraHttpDosFilterDelayMillis
zimbraHttpDosFilterDelayMillis: 20

zmprov gcf zimbraHttpDosFilterMaxRequestsPerSec
zimbraHttpDosFilterMaxRequestsPerSec: 100

Hello,

by now we have changed zimbraHttpDosFilterMaxRequestsPerSec to 200 we fixed some issues with zimbraHttpThrottleSafeIPs

but we found this on mailbox.log:


2017-06-28 15:26:18,864 ERROR [ImapSSLServer-5] [name=user@domain;mid=437;ip=xx.xx.xx.xx;oip=xx.xx.xx.xx;via=Mac OS X Mail/10.2 (3259),xx.xx.xx.xx(nginx/1.7.1);ua=Zimbra/8.7.0_GA_1659;] imap - zimbraImapMaxConsecutiveError exceeded 5

We noticed that it is related frequently to Mac OS Mail appliance.

And in zimbra there is this parameter imap_max_consecutive_error = 5

Should we increase this parameters or is there something to do about Mac mail appliance?
