global address book for multiple domains?

Post by markoweber »

hello,
the forum search did not soved my questions...
I was asked by people if i can host multiple domains on a zimbra server.
Like other mailserver setups, this should not be the problem with zimbra, am i right?

but another question was, when i use zimbra with multiple domains, is it possible to do an global address book
for all connected domains?

thanks for any hints and help

kind regards

hi @phoenix ,

i tried with that documentation: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/GAL_Sync_Account

after the steps i added in domain-1 a new contact and saved it.
i logged in as domain-2 user, new mail, and in autocompletion i dont get the contact i added in domain-1

Do i have "overseen" something?

For any hints i am grateful

hi,
maybe i found the cause for the not working global adress book.
when i log in as client of domain-1 / -2 and go on "write mail" and click on the button "to:" then a window with the contacts should open...
the selector in this window is on "global addressbook" and i get the following error:
method: [unknown]
msg: system failure: ldap search failed
code: service.FAILURE
detail: soap:Receiver
