[SOLVED] zimbra-nginx

Post by nugroho.redbuff »

I have an accident. I setup video web conference jitsi meet that use nginx at port 443. ;)
It change the 'route' of service. I mean, when I call https://mymail.server.com (just an example). It shows the video web conference page. :D
Then i remove (uninstall completely) the web video conf app. And the accident is :)
HTTP ERROR 502

Problem accessing ZCS upstream server. Cannot connect to the ZCS upstream server. Connection is refused.
Possible reasons:

upstream server is unreachable
upstream server is currently being upgraded
upstream server is down
Please contact your ZCS administrator to fix the problem.

Powered by Nginx-Zimbra://
I thought that something is missing in /etc/nginx/site-enable/ or something similar
So, I want to know
Is there any correlation between zimbra and nginx site-configuration ?
Thanks.

Zimbra provides its own nginx, as well as almost everything else it needs in /opt/zimbra.

Sounds like you added nginx on your own to your Zimbra server? You'll need to remove or at least disable it for Zimbra to work.

As a general rule, Zimbra servers are best thought of as appliances where you get to choose the operating system from a short list. But it will almost always cause heartache when trying to install additional services on a Zimbra server.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Great, Finally I recover from the disaster. I stop all zimbra service, remove all appended apps like nginx, etc, then start again the zimbra service. Thanks
