Zimbra Docs OSE?

Post by yllyxzmz »

I can't quite make out whether the new Zimbra Docs feature is NE only? Or OSE as well? There's some talk about licensing in the documentation, but I can't tell if it's telling you how it works if you have NE or that it *only* works if you have NE. Also, it's mentioned that it's part of NG, but I've never understood exactly what that means licensing wise. Anyone know?

According to this https://www.zimbra.com/email-server-sof ... omparison/ zimbra docs is only for NE editions. There's not even an add-on avaialble for FOSS according to that document.

Licensing wise NG is included for NE editions, and for FOSS editions the NG modules could be aquired individually or as the Zimbra suite plus (except for the Zimbra Docs feature which is still not listed). If you want to buy the rebranded by Zimbra modules for your FOSS, I think they come only as a "subscription". If you want more options you could just buy the ZeXtras modules directly from ZeXtras without the Zimbra rebrand. https://store.zextras.com/#/

Thanks for the response! That's too bad that Docs is NE only. And I've purchased some ZeXtras modules in the past -- I hadn't made the connection that NG modules are just rebranded ZeXtras modules.
