Problem receiving email from gmail or outlook

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and I would like you to help me because I have a problem on receiving emails from other mail.

I explain:

I installed zimbra 8.8.11 Open Source and if I send mails from:

xxx@zimbra.com to yyy@zimbra.com it works fine.

of:

xxx@zimbra.com to sss@gmail.com it works but if sss@gmail.com responds to xxx@zimbra.com the message does not come?

Can you help me if possible

Hi,

Most likely a probem with your public dns records or your nat configuration.

Did you configure them?

Can you telnet your public domain name from outside your network to the port 25 and get a response from your zimbra server?

but the dns configuration is OK i have not problem

the telnet public on the 25 port is OK.

Also my dns is good, but the problem receive mail is not work

Hi,

But you are using a private dns in your query (127.0.0.1). The problem is from the outside to your site. I am not really sure this test proves anything.

From outside your network or by forcing to use an external dns like 8.8.8.8, repeat the dig only for your mx record and for your domain (not your hostname). Something like:
$ dig domain.name mx @8.8.4.4

Then, again from outside your network, try to reach your port 25 and then, verify that the one answering is your zimbra (the banner if configured as defatult, should say the myhostname and the agent which is postfix).

If this test succeeds, then we should move to see what logs are telling under /var/log/zimbra.log in your mta.

But I tested out of my network the dns and it works
