I tried reindex the user mailbox and it seems solved, but don't have any idea why couldn't attach any files previously.

In end of Nov 2019 and beginning of Dec 2019 I did an upgrade OSE 8.8.10_GA_3039 to 8.8.15_GA_3869, first test environment, then production (at customer site), linux centos 6 release X64. In both cases I first run yum, so I updated the distro, then I updated the OSE. Everything went smotly I didn't observe any problem during patching (if anyone is interested in update log – I got one for test site, real domain name and IPs are replaced). Test is clone of production (mailboxes are erased).

Some days after update customer informed me about a problem. When user reply (html client) to an email he can't attach a file. He clicks on reply, attach file and select file but then nothing happens in Firefox or Chrome. But Edge or Internet Explorer work. If user starts a new email then everything works, he can attach a file. The problem appears at both sites (test and production), so I can easily reproduce the problem (look at attached file)

I put a test site behind reverse proxy (haproxy) and the most important difference is autosaving of draft message when I use working browser (Internet Explorer or Edge).

I also did "yum update" at test site yesterday and updated OSE from 8.8.15_p4 to 8.8.15_p6 but it didn't help.

The only workaround which I found (after examining haproxy logs) – user clicks on reply and then clicks on "save draft message" and then he can attach file in Firefox or Chrome.

Any solution?

I'll try the fix and post the results.

I forgot to mention - I tried HTML/TEXT mode, attach text file, docx, pdf - the result was the same - Chrome/FF didn't work, IE/Edge work.

Chrome test, HTML/Text mode, try to attach PDF file - it doesn't work (rebooted server).

IE test, HTML/Text mode, attach the same PDF file - it works.

Reverting test installation back to snapshot

No luck.

I try on my Chrome and it works normally. Maybe you can try some investigation like :
  • - Disable all extension on your Chrome
    - Clear cache your Chrome
    - Upgrade chrome version if any

Just tried - Firefox X64 win10, ver. 72.0.2 (last), clear entire history (everything), advanced mode, text or html - it doesn't work.

Which version of Zimbra do you have - 8.8.15, patch level? I've 8.8.15_P4

Release 8.8.15.GA.3869.UBUNTU18.64 UBUNTU18_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P6.
Or you can try to clear work folder

su - zimbra
zmcontrol stop
cd /opt/zimbra/jetty/
mv work old-work
mkdir work
zmcontrol start

Hello

Updated to p6 (yum update): Release 8.8.15_GA_3869.RHEL6_64_20190917004220 RHEL6_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P6

and did everything bellow. Still doesn't work.
