Sender address rejected

Post by sirhc_leira »

I have the following error.

Release 8.8.15.GA.3869.UBUNTU16.64 UBUNTU16_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P2

Jul 30 21:02:37 mail saslauthd[787]: auth_zimbra: christian.cata@xxxxx.com auth OK
Jul 30 21:02:37 mail postfix/smtpd[11336]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[192.168.15.225]: 553 5.7.1 <christian.cata@xxxxx.com>: Sender address rejected: not owned by user christian.cata@xxxxx.com; from=<christian.cata@xxxxx.com> to=<christiancata@gmail.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<[192.168.0.14]>

I'm using slm-exceptions-db. This happens when i add the user to the file, when i remove the user from the exceptions file i don't have this problem.

I already checkout the wiki for this.

Same thing here!!!

The exception DB has no effect, tried multiple config...

The nearest I got to working is creating an alias for the specified account. But I get Sender Address rejected : not logged in.

It sucks ... maligun is then unable to send mail to our own domain! :(

I must say it's the first time a certified wiki documentation is not working.

It's been 2 weeks now and the sales dept is getting frustrated... grrr

This pops up every now and then...

Double check the zimbraMtaSmtpdSenderLoginMaps setting at the globalConfig.

Code: Select all

zmprov gcf zimbraMtaSmtpdSenderLoginMaps
If there are no results, set the attribute globally and then restart the mta service on your MTA server(s):

Code: Select all

zmprov mcf zimbraMtaSmtpdSenderLoginMaps "proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-slm.cf"
zmmtactl restart
Hope that helps,
Mark
