Backup NG - Are mail filters restored on a mailbox restore?
Trying to confirm this via Zimbra documentation, when one does a mailbox restore (say you're migrating a domain/mailboxes from one Zimbra server to another), are mailbox filtering rules restored as well?

Yes, the mailbox is restored 'as is' from the source server and that includes all the rules.

Re: Backup NG - Are mail filters restored on a mailbox restore?
Thanks for the confirmation on this.
I must confess I was lazy, it's easy to confirm for oneself:
- Create a mailbox - say foo@bar.com
- Add a filtering rule to it
- Run a SmartScan (so as to have confidence that changes are in the backup)
- Do a restore to a new account:
and voila the rules came right along.

Code: Select all
zxsuite backup doRestoreOnNewAccount foo@bar.com foo-restored@bar.com last
