How to deny web interface access with the server IP ?

Post by rokoyato »

Hi,

I want to restrict the access to the web interface of my server to mail.domain.com

I saw that I can access the web interface with the IP of the server, how can I restrict this ?

We have an RFE for that, ZRFE-199.

Hi !

Thanks for your answer but I don't think it is what i'm looking for.

I have a server with this public DNS record :

mail.mydomain.net IN A <MyPublicIP>

Now I can access my webmail by going to "mail.mydomain.net" but also by simply putting <MyPublicIP> in the URL.

It might be a reverse proxy problem but I don't know where should I fix this, zimbra has his own apache2 but it seems to used for something else.

I was thinking to install nginx a do a proper reverse proxy on the same server (single server installation)

I also found this documentation : https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Proxy_Guide but it seems made for multi-server installation.

Regards
