domain is not permitted to be relayed from

Post by filipi_saci »

Hello everyone!

Recentily I migrate one Zimbra from version Release 8.7.11.GA.1854.UBUNTU12.64 UBUNTU12_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.7.11_P11 to version Release 8.8.15.GA.3869.UBUNTU18.64 UBUNTU18_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P25 and I got a differente behavior for distribution lists with external email addresses when I have a relay configured globally.

When I receive an email to the distribution list my MTA tries to make the relay using the source domain and receives this error:

Code: Select all

Sep 27 13:49:12 webmail postfix/smtp[13444]: A11B32C0233: to=<sender@srcdomain01.tld>, relay=200.225.113.69[200.225.113.69]:25, delay=27, delays=0.02/0.01/0.56/26, dsn=5.7.1, status=bounced (host 200.225.113.69[200.225.113.69] said: 554 5.7.1 domain srcdomain01.tld is not permitted to be relayed from <meu_ip_publico> (in reply to end of DATA command))
A workaround solution used was to disable global relay and configure relay by domain, depending on wiki: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/relay_per_domain

Did you have any modification in the zimbra in the new version?

This seems like a bug.
