We indeed have a NE subscription.

I don't see this is helping much, if I open yet another ticket. I'm pretty sure the people there also follow this forum so they know this one didn't go down too well with customers - I will voice my concern at some other point.

I hope they can fix it and fix people's botched installs, too.

I also had the same problem with a zimbra server on version 9.0.0 zextras.
I updated the repositories in the morning of 06-16-2022 and I couldn't get the service up again, the main problem is that zimbra-core-components is updated to version 3.0.12-1zimbra8.8b1.20.04 which has a dependency on the zimbra-osl package (2.0.0-1zimbra9.0b1.20.04) and it does not exist anywhere, currently only the zimbra-osl package (1.0.9-1zimbra8.7b1.20.04) is referenced.
Therefore all installations or updates fail since the repository has these updated packages configured.

My solution was to manually downgrade most of the packages that were upgraded, for this use the following statement:

##Install packages manually

Code: Select all

apt-get install zimbra-chat=4.0.1.1594306412-1.u20 zimbra-dnscache-components=1.0.2-1zimbra8.7b1.20.04 zimbra-jetty-distribution=9.4.18.v20190429-2.u20 zimbra-openjdk=13.0 .1-1zimbra8.8b1.20.04 zimbra-openssl-lib=1.1.1k-1zimbra8.7b4.20.04 zimbra-openssl=1.1.1k-1zimbra8.7b4.20.04 zimbra-perl-mail-spamassassin=3.4.5-1zimbra8. 8b4.20.04 zimbra-spamassassin-rules=1.0.0-1zimbra8.8b5.20.04 zimbra-unbound-lib=1.11.0-1zimbra8.7b2.20.04 zimbra-unbound=1.11.0-1zimbra8.7b2.20.04 zimbra-clamav- lib=0.103.2-1zimbra8.8b3.20.04 zimbra-clamav=0.103.2-1zimbra8.8b3.20.04 zimbra-mta-components=1.0.14-1zimbra8.8b1.20.04 zimbra-osl=1.0.9-1zimbra8.7b1 .20.04 zimbra-core-components=2.0.13-1zimbra8.8b1.20.04 zimbra-ldap-components=1.0.13-1zimbra8.8b1.20.04
My configuration:
Ubuntu 20.04 64x
zcs-9.0.0_ZEXTRAS_20220402.UBUNTU20_64.20220419075932
With this I was able to raise my services again.
Waiting for the correction by synacor.

I just came off the phone with support, and it's going to take at least another 2 hours at minimum to get the repos back up. There was no official number from the team, this is what the support guy told me.

Before they called me back, I managed to undo the half-update by downgrading to the packages I still had in cache.
core, jetty and openJDK
And I am up and running again.

Thanks for that update and it's a positive step, let's hope that it's done soon. Support will have done an excellent job if it's back the 'forecast' timescale. I should think they'll all deserve a beer or two when they've finished - well done to them and many thanks for their hard work.

My server is unusable at the moment but it's still receiving mail so I'm not in too bad a state. :)

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll give this a try after I've done a VM Snapshot.
