Re: JAVA not reaping unused LMTP sessions
Hi all.
Is there a link for this hotfix, ZBUG-2901, or do we have to specifically request from Zimbra Team? We are on FOSS.
Regards,
Stavros

Hot fixes are typically available via the Support channel. You can buy Support for OSE, provided you are using Zimbra-provided OSE binaries as I understand it.stasouv wrote:Hi all.

The fix however we’ve been told is due in the next Patch, which is scheduled allegedly to be released before the end of the month.
Hope that helps,
Mark

Re: JAVA not reaping unused LMTP sessions
Just a quick update that we have had zero delayed mail incidents after applying the Hot Fix.
Best regards to all,

Re: JAVA not reaping unused LMTP sessions
Hello, again.
We've applied Patch 33 and... so far so good.
The patch took an unusually long time to install but it seems to have worked.
I'll let this week evolve, to be sure that case is, eventually, closed.
Regards,
Stavros

Re: JAVA not reaping unused LMTP sessions
Do you have a large number of mailbox servers?stasouv wrote:The patch took an unusually long time to install but it seems to have worked.
Patch 32 and 33 redeploy all standard zimlets (30), and a zimlet redeploy pushes this to all mailbox servers in the platform.
So if you have n mailbox and you patch all of them, you are redeploying 30*n² zimlets... Clearly this doesn't scale.
This is tracked as ZBUG-2722.
Another issue with this is that a Zimlet redeploy overwrites the Zimlet's config in LDAP back to its defaults...
