How to avoid outlook duplicate after a migration to a new server ?

Post by rokoyato »

Hi,

I'm charged with the migration from a 8.0.6 server to a 9 one (about 1Tb of mail).

With this migrate come a change in the server name and webserver access (all account are migrated).

I'm afraid a change in domain name will lead to a massive duplicate in outlook since it will be a "new" server for outlook (90% of users uses outlook).

Does anyone have a trick to avoid that ?

Read some of the articles on the Zimbra & Zextras wikis - both of them have details on how to move Zimbra to a new server.

Hi,

I already moved about 4/5 servers with zextras whiout much trouble except for the outlook making duplicates.

And I can't find any documentation about this specific problem, outlook just redownload everything when we change the connector configuration.
