Restoring zimbra vm from proxmox backup

Hi, I have a zimbra server virtualized on proxmox. Every night proxmox make a snapshot of the vm and it is stored as a vm backup. Mailbox storage is on a hw raid5 and mounted as zimbra storage. This mailbox storage is not part of the vm itself. Supose I have to restore a previous nightly backup of the vm. Can this carry out inconsistencies between emails in the mailbox storage and the restored zimbra database (entire vm)?

Have a large Zimbra server, and have passed by similar situation.

Have resolved this with online replication to another Proxmox Server (in cluster) and Proxmox Backup Server.
