Importing contacts to distribution list in a bulk (xls, csv, txt))

I'm newbie to Zimbra. I'm trying to import csv/xls/txt file of contacts into distribution list. I want to execute this activity through UI. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

User have admin right can create a Distribution List and can published the shared items to the list.


Other users notify the administrator that they have shared an item with the distribution list and the administrator publishes the shared item to the list. This is done in the Shares tab. When a new shared item is published, existing members of the list are automatically notified of the new share.

Also create distribution list item will be displayed in drop down , if user has required right (createDistList) .
You can grant this right on domain level also, so that all users of that domain can create distribution list.
zmprov grr domain <domain_name> dom <domain_name> createDistList

If you want to grant right to specific user, login to admin console.
Go to Configure - Domains - <double click on your domain> - ACL -- Add ACL

Grantee Name --email id of user
Right Type -- System defined Right
Right Name -- createDistList

Are you using web client or admin console for creating distribution list with mass contacts?
