Zimlet for Open Directory Plug In anyone ?

Is this the third or fourth post about open directory you've entered tonight? Don't cross post - it's annoying.
If you're talking about using OD for auth and user data, you didn't read the zimlet spec very closely - that's something that would need to be done at install time, not on the client side.
If you want to use OD as the ldap server:
download the source

build it

take apart the ldap package

create the schema in OD

...

profit.

Zimlet for Open Directory Plug In anyone ?

Post by Aderium »

Sorry for the cross thread although I thought each thread had different questions.
My questions are not answered.
Apparently there is an issue installing the Zimbra server on a Mac oS X Server tiger that is either connected to a OD Master or is one itself.
I have not found any topic related to how to install Zimbra in those instances.

Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Also I understand you guys are looking for feedback, I don't think feedback should be seen as annoying

Is it a port conflict issue? We can't currently move ldap to another port, but we're working on it.
When you install on a server connected to an OD server, what happens?

It is extremely annoying to see the same post or similar question in various places. We love feedback, but make a choice to post a new thread OR post a follow-up in a current thread. Don't do both.
